About St Clears Cricket Club

St Clears has had a cricket club in various forms for many years. We ran a 1st XI, a 2nd XI and a junior team, all of which played cricket in the Pembrokesire League. Unfortunately due to various circumstances the club disbanded in 1997.

However, the club was reformed in 2007 when a group of previous members decided to try and reform the club. An AGM was held, where a committee was elected and a constitution agreed.

The club plays all of its home games at the welfares field, which is situated at St Clears leisure centre.

In 2007 the club played friendly matches against teams in division 6 and 7 of the Pembrokeshire league. The club had a very successful season.

At the 2008 AGM of the Pembroke County Cricket League, St Clears tabled a nomination which would allow them back into the league. Unfortunately the motion failed by 8 votes. For the 2008 season we will again be playing friendly matches against various opposition.

We have also just set up a junior team, which will be entered in the Pembrokeshire junior league.
